Weekly Trash & Recycling Collection for Windsong

✔️ All regular trash must be in bins. As per our deed restrictions, residential refuse must be in containers not to exceed sixty-five (65) gallons and not exceeding forty (40) pounds in total weight.

✔️ Residents supply and use the trash bin(s) they prefer. Open-top recycle bins are provided by Best Trash but residents are welcome to supply their own recycle bins as well.

✔️ Place items at the curb before 7am each collection day. Large bins must be on the street.

✔️ Trash in large bins must be in bags for collection. Loose trash items will only be collected from small bins and only if the weight of the loose trash + bin is under 40lbs.

✔️ Recycle items must be in clearly marked recycle bins to avoid being collected as trash. Get stickers for your custom recycle bin by emailing customerservice@besttrashtexas.com.

✔️ Trash collection is for normal amounts of residential trash and recycling. If you have items from tenant changes, remodel, business trash, disaster recovery, etc., alternate collection is required: info at customerservice@besttrashtexas.com.

✔️ Bundled items such as tree branches, shrubs, and fence boards must be separated and clearly bundled to weigh less than 40lbs each. Bundles must be cut to no more than 4 feet  in length and have no nails or concrete. Branches can be no larger than 3 inches in diameter. Up to 5 bundles may be collected at one time. Bundled items should never be placed in bins. NOTE: if a natural disaster occurs, tree limbs are considered storm debris and separate arrangements must be made to get them picked up.

✔️ All yard debris must be in strong, tear-resistant yard bags. Best Trash will collect up to 5 bags, no heavier than 40 pounds each, per collection day. NOTE: yard debris does not include mulch, dirt, stone, concrete, etc. and these items will not be picked up. If you use a landscaper, they are responsible for the hauling of your yard debris.

✖️ No collection on the following holidays: New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving or Christmas.  Collection resumes on the next scheduled collection day.

Paying for Waste Collection

Trash Assessment statements are run quarterly on or around the 1st of the month each month and will be visible on your Spectrum account at that time. Printed statements will also be mailed to you.  Payment is due by the 15th of the month.  Late fees will be displayed on your next statement.

The HOA manages all payments for waste collection to ensure uninterrupted service throughout the neighborhood and to minimize any possible issues regarding our service contract.  As a homeowner, your Trash Assessment is automatically generated when you set up your account with Spectrum.  The payment process for the Trash Assessment is the same as with your Annual Assessment (HOA Dues).
