Find Out If You Need ARC Approval

So, you're ready to do some work on your property. Great! Most things are ready to go as soon as you are, but some things require approval from the Architectural Review Committee prior to doing any work. The questions on this page can help you identify what needs pre-approval and what doesn't.

Are you permanently removing something on your property?

Okay. Is it a tree, landscaping, or rain gutters that you want to remove?

Are you changing something for repair or maintenance purposes?

This would be referred to as "like for like" updates where the new thing looks the same as what you had before, just newer.

Are you installing a satellite dish, solar panels, celebratory sign, flag, or plants?

This sounds like something that needs pre-approval from the Architectural Review Committee.

Please review the Architectural Guidelines and submit an Architectural Improvement Request before beginning this project. Both of these can be found on our Documents page.

There are no requirements for a home to have rain gutters. As for trees and other plantings, please review Section 10 of the Architectural Guidelines (found on our Documents page) regarding yard maintenance and our tree quantity/size requirement.

As long as there is no apparent difference between your update and the original, you're good to go -- examples would be painting your house the same color or installing new versions of your existing shingles.  Please review the Architectural Guidelines (found on our Documents page) regarding property maintenance for tips and to ensure your project doesn't include something else that needs prior approval.
